Get to know the face behind the lens!

My passion for film started at a young age with a love of everything in the '80s & '90s! Blockbusters such as "Scarface" and "The Terminator" I was instantly hooked. The way these movies pulled you in and told a story was something I knew I wanted to be able to do myself.

At age 16 I found myself at 6th Form taking part in an I.T class based on the internals of a camera. Learning about how they work and how you can produce different sorts of images was fascinating to me! I know, I'm a geek! I had to get my first DSLR and practice.

I began making Youtube videos of myself playing the guitar! This gave me an understanding of how to use the camera and light myself etc! Also how to do basic video and audio editing. Little did I know all these hours sat at my desk teaching myself would come in very handy in the future.

Once I left 6th Form and went through various jobs as most of us do, I started freelancing as a Videographer and Editor. After working mainly in London for a couple of years I decided to make the big decision to Establish Cmotion Films and focus on building my own business.

As a wedding videography and photography company, we offer very personal customer service from start to finish. I liaise with all clients personally from start to finish and ensure we offer top customer service all the way through.

The feeling of building a business you have started, gaining clients, and producing a product that stands the test of time is priceless. If I don't have a camera in my hand I have a mouse! For me, film-making is something I need to do.

Hey guys, here's a bit about me. A true passion for filmmaking blossomed in my teenage years after slowly being introduced to classic films such as Pulp Fiction and A Clockwork Orange, which opened my eyes to the true power of what can be achieved through film; the ability to convey a feeling and take an individual on an emotional journey.

Despite succeeding academically, earning a Bachelor’s (Hons) degree in Education Studies, I have always had creative energy inside of me, which has been satisfied over the years through a variety of different outlets such as playing the guitar and writing songs for a band, creating engaging lesson plans for primary children, or, more recently, creating observational comedy based video content on YouTube. Using YouTube as an outlet for my creativity, I began to upload a plethora of content online, learning and understanding the fundamentals of both camera work and video editing in the process.

In the final few years of my degree, Jem, who has been a close friend of mine since childhood, informed me that he had started up his own filmmaking business, and provided me with the opportunity to work beside him. I have known Jem for more than half of my life, and after spending our childhood together as friends, it seems adulthood is just as adamant about keeping us together! It just so happens to be quite the beautiful accident that we found each other, became close friends through common interests, and can now support each other, building a business, in an area, we are both incredibly passionate about, leaving a lasting impression on every client we work with. Wedding Videography gives us that job satisfaction once everything has been completed and we get that fantastic feedback!
